Position: SF | From: Minnesota | Class/YOB: Junior |
Height: 6’8 | Weight: 195 | Wingspan: N/A |
Strengths:
- True point forward. Played in a point guard role for a large part of this season for the Gophers. Handles the ball with confidence and creativity while showing a sound feel in pick-and-rolls
- Very good height for a playmaking wing
- Fluidity and IQ allow him to regularly get paint touches in the half-court and transition where he excels. Despite lacking some strength, he plays to and through contact
- Shows off defensive instincts, especially when he gets going offensively. I saw him look really engaged on the ball in the NCAA Tournament. He can add a lot to his stock if he brings that intensity on a more consistent basis
Weaknesses:
- Very streaky outside shooter. He can create his own shots, but isn’t an efficient scorer from the perimeter
- He is a smooth athlete in the open floor that should be useful as a point forward. In the half court, he is little restricted when playing against similar length
- He will need to add some bulk for the next level. Dealt with a serious injury as a sophomore and has a slight lower body that may worry some teams
- Left-hand dependent on his drives
