NBA Draft Spotlight: Terance Mann

Florida State guard Terance Mann improved year after year for the Seminoles. He should be able to find a way onto an NBA team with time.

Position: SG From: Nevada Class/YOB: Senior
Height: 6’6 Weight: 200 Wingspan: N/A

Strengths:

  • Aggressive slasher that can make acrobatic shots around the basket
  • Good size for an off-guard
  • Developed as a playmaker in his last few years at Florida State. Can work well
  • Tough downhill penetrator that uses ball screens well to create space

Weaknesses:

  • Underwhelming outside shooter. Shooting is the one real deficiency in his game. He took a nice step as a senior after avoiding the three-pointer for his first three college seasons
  • Not a great athlete. A below-the-rim finisher without a lot of explosion changing ends
  • Lacks the strength of a typical defensive wing
  • Doesn’t have much of a mid-range game to go to when the lane is clogged
