I would expect Zach Norvell to return to Gonzaga to become the go-to option, but he has the talent to be a second round pick if he chooses to leave.
Position: SG | From: Gonzaga | Class/YOB: Sophomore |
Height: 6’5 | Weight: 205 | Wingspan: N/A |
Strengths:
- Athletic scorer that can create his own shot off the dribble. Loves to go to the stepback in isolation situations
- Good spot-up shooter that steps into threes from NBA-range. Very high volume three shooter
- Frame should continue to add strength to help him become a better defender against size
- Skilled slasher with the springs to finish up and over challengers around the rim
- Has natural passing instincts in the drive-and-kick game
Weaknesses:
- Shot selection can be questionable at times
- I would like to see him develop his point guard skills a bit. Took a nice step this year handling the ball more in space and setting up teammates
- Active in the passing lanes, but he needs to more disciplined guarding the ball
- Sticks to left-handed drives and generally only uses right-handed dribbles to attack in a straight line.
