A strong NCAA Tournament set up Louis King to enter the draft following his freshman year. He can in with high expectations, and did not disappoint.
Position: SF | From: Oregon | Class/YOB: Freshman |
Height: 6’9 | Weight: 204 | Wingspan: 7’0 |
Strengths:
- Great size for a wing player with good length at his position
- Plus athlete that moves fluidly around the court
- Blessed with a natural scorer’s mentality and a skill set built to put up points. Handles the ball well to create shots off the bounce. Good shooter with the potential to be great in time
- Size and length allow him to get in the passing lanes. Needs to work on becoming an impact defender, but as an off-ball help-side guy, he has some value
Weaknesses:
- A high-volume shooter who doesn’t pass up a lot of shots. Needs to work on being a better playmaker
- Defense is very spotty. Needs to be more committed to guarding
- Can be pushed into turnovers when he can’t find his shot
- Has some physical development restraints right now. Lanky build works well for him, but added strength will give him more potential in the post and attacking the basket
